Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. (Tokyo; Satoru Matsuzaki, President & Representative Director) has announced its plan to open the first MUJI store in the State of Qatar at Doha Festival City - Qatar's largest shopping mall - on 5 April 2017.

Doha, the capital of Qatar, is recognized as one of the global cities in the Middle East with multi-national population. MUJI will debut in Qatar, in partnership with the leading international franchise operator M.H. Alshaya Co. W.L.L. (Qatar), at the Doha Festival City which opens in April. The new mall will be Qatar's largest shopping center with over 550 selected international and local brands and over 85 places to dine and relax. It will also have business, leisure and entertainment facilities attractive to visitors from neighboring countries.

Following MUJI's openings in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Kingdom of Bahrain, this fifth market expansion in the Middle East will share MUJI's vision of a Simple, Pleasant Life with many new customers and secure MUJI as a favorite shopping destination in Qatar.
