Water Refill Stations installed at the Tokyo SPORT PLAYGROUND SPORT × ART

MUJI has set up water refill stations at the Tokyo SPORT PLAYGROUND SPORT × ART, a new-age Sports Park opened on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.

TOKYO SPORT PLAYGROUND SPORT × ART is a free-of-charge sports park opened in Shin- Toyosu, the gulf area of Koto-Ward, Tokyo, for a limited period till September 20, 2021 with the collaboration of Mitsui Fudosan Residential Co., Ltd. and NIKE Japan Group LLC.
The design incorporates an inclusive design that enables sports to be enjoyed without stress and regardless of age, gender, athletic experience, skills, or disabilities. The design is based on the concept of a park where everyone can enjoy sports.

The facility aims to operate in a sustainable way. Instead of installing vending machines, it is working to reduce plastic waste by encouraging visitors to bring their own bottles. MUJI agreed with this initiative, and in order to reduce the use of empty PET bottles, we installed four water refilling stations inside the facility so that everyone can make use of them. MUJI will continue to work with the customers to think about environmental and health-related issues through drinking water.
