MUJI passport Pay Launched

On Monday, November 30, 2020, MUJI passport Pay, a non-contact online payment service, was introduced to the free smartphone application MUJI passport, and can be used at 162 MUJI stores in Japan.

MUJI passport Pay is an online payment service developed by Ryohin Keikaku. By registering credit card information in the "MUJI passport" application in advance, one can shop in a cashless way at MUJI stores by simply presenting the payment barcode displayed on the screen of the MUJI passport at the checkout. By using one single application, customers can make the payment and receive equivalent “MUJI Miles” at the same time.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, MUJI places the highest priority on the health and safety of its customers and employees. The MUJI passport Pay service enables customers to complete payments on their smartphones thus reducing physical contact at the checkout. Also, the waiting time at the checkout counter can also be shortened.

Going forward, we will continue our efforts to improve the safety, security, and convenience of customers who use MUJI products.
