Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. (Tokyo; Satoru Matsuzaki, President & Representative Director) has announced that nearly 260 apparel, stationery, food, and other MUJI brand items will be available at nearly 6,300 Circle K and Sunkus convenience stores throughout Japan beginning October 19. This move is an extension of the Ryohin Keikaku wholesale business that had been wholesaling MUJI products to FamilyMart Co., Ltd. (Tokyo; Takashi Sawada, Representative Director and President).
Now Available at Family Mart, Circle K, and Sunkus Stores throughout Japan
Until today's announcement, FamilyMart had been the exclusive distribution partner for MUJI products sold in convenience stores in Japan. The opportunity to purchase MUJI everyday goods at FamilyMart outlets has been a convenient and welcome development for customers of all stripes, including students, business people, and even visitors from overseas. With the merger of FamilyMart Co., Ltd. and UNY Group Holdings Co., Ltd., MUJI products will now be available at approximately 18,000 FamilyMart, Circle K, and Sunkus stores. This arrangement will extend MUJI's reach by nearly 1.5 times, offering customers an even greater opportunity to become familiar with and purchase MUJI products.
