Announcement: MUJI Sweden Aktiebolag
Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan; Satoru Matsuzaki, President & Representative Director) has announced today that the Board of Directors has resolved the establishment of a subsidiary in Kingdom of Sweden (hereafter Sweden) by MUJI EUROPE HOLDINGS LIMITED (hereafter MEH), its regional headquarters in Europe, for further business development.
Purpose
MEH entered into a licensing agreement with Ahlens AB (hereafter Ahlens) in 2004. Since 13 years MEH has granted Ahlens to sell MUJI products exclusively in Sweden. As of today 8 MUJI retail outlets exist. Both parties have agreed to terminate the agreement as of August 2018.
MEH will establish a new subsidiary and install its operation to build a stronger presence of MUJI in the area.
