ATELIER MUJI GINZA, which locates on the sixth floor of MUJI GINZA, is a multi-purpose facility of design and culture delivering MUJI's views and ideas for the future. From Friday, 13 March to Sunday, 21 June 2020※, MUJI ATELIER MUJI GINZA holds the exhibition “Form and Heart Everyday is a good day”.

Are you familiar with “Origata”, a traditional Japanese gift-giving style that allows you to express your feelings using simple paper and strings? Even today, it is used to make heartfelt gifts, such as paper bag of wrapping things for ceremonies and funerals. We planned the exhibition to incorporate unique designs originating from Japanese lifestyles and cultures into people's lives so that they can be enjoyed more easily. With the full cooperation of the Origata Design Institute, which has been researching and practicing such activities for many years, this exhibition presents a variety of Kichi (fortune) gifts, mainly MUJI products, in a simple way.

We present “Form” and “Heart” in this exhibition through the wisdom and aesthetics of Origata. A gift can be not only something special, but also a simple thing that enriches our normal lives. Learning the meaning of these demeanors and forms and then transforming them into actions will bring us a small yet invaluable boost of vibrant energy. This energy celebrates a relationship between people and nature, a gift that we can also pass on to future generations. Ultimately, then, everyday is a good day.
