"Life in Art 'TOKYO MODERNISM 2022'" Started

　 "Life in Art," a project to expand art based on the theme of everyday art, has introduced the works of artists – no matter famous or unknown, ancient or modern, from Japan or overseas – whose creations resonate with us, and has been holding exhibitions at IDÉE and MUJI stores so far.
　This is the fourth Life in Art exhibition called "Life in Art 'TOKYO MODERNISM 2022' ". Vintage shops and galleries focusing on modern design in the mid-century (1940 - 1960's) gathered from across Japan to present a special selection of formative arts and functional beauty created by designers all over the world, along with the times and backgrounds in which they were born. The exhibition will be held at three venues: "ATELIER MUJI GINZA," "IDÉE TOKYO," and "MUJI HOTEL GINZA.”
　At "IDÉE TOKYO", shop owners, creators and artists who are participating in "TOKYO MODERNISM 2022" will hold auctions of chairs that have been cherished and used for a long time, and hand on each masterpiece to a next owner-to-be. At "ATELIER MUJI GINZA", as a gallery to covey the greatness of vintage furniture and interior items created mainly in mid-century, shop owners will introduce the best pieces in their shops and tell us their thoughts on the pieces and backstories of the designers.

　Furthermore, at ATELIER MUJI GINZA, 30 galleries and vintage shops from all over Japan will gather and open shops in the guest rooms on 7th and 8th floors of MUJI HOTEL GINZA for a limited period from April 7 (Thursday) to April 10 (Sunday).

　Please enjoy a wide range of modern designs which buyers of vintage shops and galleries in Japan encountered all over the world.
