Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd., the operator of MUJI, has decided to recall certain production lots of the "Bamboo Folding Stool" (approx. W34×D37×H60 cm), which has been sold since July 20, 2023. It has come to our attention that the stool's legs may unexpectedly fold during use, posing a risk of falling. If you have purchased one of the affected products, we kindly request that you stop using it immediately.

If you have one of the affected lots, please bring the product to the nearest MUJI store or submit a recall request through the web form provided at the URL below. A full refund will be issued.

The cause of the recall lies in the metal stoppers used in certain lots, which may move with minimal force, causing the stool legs to fold unexpectedly. We are committed to conducting a thorough investigation into the cause of this issue and implementing enhanced quality control measures across all departments to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
